Your boss can deduct money from your pay for a union:
• If you’re on a collective agreement, it’s taken as saying that an employer who’s a party to it must deduct a member’s union fee regularly (unless the agreement states otherwise).
• If you’re on an individual agreement and belong to a union, it’s treated as if it said that with your consent, the employer must deduct a union member’s fee
• if you’re part of a bargaining fee arrangement.
