Evidence given in the Employment Relations Authority or ERA isn’t subject to the Evidence Act 2006. The ERA has broad power to admit evidence in the Employment Relations Act 2000 at s 160(2): “The[ERA] may take into account such evidence and information as in equity and good conscience it thinks fit, whether strictly legal evidence or not.”
