Your boss doesn’t have to give you a pay rise or review your performance unless it’s in your employment agreement or workplace policy, but it’s best practice to review your pay and performance regularly. Rates of pay, salaries, bonuses, review periods and pay rises are all up to you and your boss to negotiate (as long as you’re being paid at least minimum wage).
