Employers have to provide and pay for essential health and safety equipment necessary to do the job and reduce exposure to a hazard, regardless of the type of employment (fixed term, casual, part-time, permanent or full time).
If you have an agreement about uniforms or dress code, you and your boss have to agree about the cost of buying and cleaning the uniform. If you’re paying for it, your boss can’t make you buy it from their shop or a certain place.
