If your employer hasn’t paid your correct wages or holiday pay, or has paid you less than minimum wage or the amount in your contract, the first step is to try to sort it out with your employer yourself, and if this doesn't work you can ask them to go to mediation with you (it's free if you use Employment Mediation Services). Or you can apply to the Employment Relations Authority to order your boss to pay you. You have to apply within 6 years of when the wages should have been paid.
If you’ve been paid less than minimum wage, you can ask the Authority to make your boss pay a penalty. If the Authority does this, it can order some or all of the penalty to be paid to you.
