You can take parental leave if you or your partner is pregnant, or if you’re adopting or permanently taking care of a child under 6. You get full entitlements if you’ve been working for 12 months on the expected birth date or when you begin caring for the child, or part entitlements if you’ve been working 6 months. You have to have worked an average of 10 hours a week over these times.
