You have the right to take 10 days’ domestic violence leave a year if you are a victim of domestic violence (whether the violence is still happening or happened in the past - even before you started your current job), or a child who lives with you is/has been a victim of domestic violence. The child doesn’t have to be living with you all the time – it’s enough if they usually live with you, or live with you periodically, like every second week. You can’t carry domestic violence leave over into another year.
