An employer's basic implied obligations to you as an employee (which exists regardless of your employment agreement), are to: provide you a safe workplace; pay your wages as agreed; treat you reasonably and fairly; not illegally discriminate against your for reasons such as sexual orientation, political opinion, gender, ethnicity or race; and, not act in a way which breaches the employment trust and confidence relationship.
Your basic implied obligations to an employer are to: be honest; show competence and due care in your job; not harmfully affect an employer's interests i.e. leaking confidential information; obey the employer's reasonable and lawful instructions; and, not harmfully affect an employer's reputation.
