As well as the must-haves, collective agreements can also include
• a term or condition to recognise the benefits of a collective agreement, or of a relationship created by a collective agreement
• a clause that lets other unions and/or employers join the collective agreement after it has come into force
• a bargaining fee clause so that employees who aren’t union members but do work covered by the collective agreement can have an individual agreement the same as the collective one if they give the bargaining fee to the union
• any other clause that doesn’t go against the law.
