If you’re working on a foreign fishing boat in New Zealand waters, your wages must be paid into a New Zealand bank account in your name unless you agree otherwise. In any case your wages must be paid directly to you, while you’re in New Zealand. Your minimum wage is the New Zealand minimum plus NZ$2/hour. You must be paid for all hours you work, but always at least 42 hours per week. Your boss can only take specific costs out of your wages.
