If you’ve been offered a job when you’re pregnant, you could sign the letter of offer and then tell your employer about your pregnancy. They can’t withdraw the offer of employment, unless there’s a health and safety risk that makes you unable to work because you’re pregnant. Bear in mind that your employer may lose trust with you if you haven’t disclosed this during the interview, particularly if they asked a question about your ability to work.
You won’t be entitled to parental leave nor paid parental leave or sick leave as you won’t meet the 6 or 12 months eligibility criteria, so you’ll need to take leave without pay. You may be able to take leave from work to care for your new child.
