Who can give me independent advice on my employment agreement?

A union representative, lawyer, careers advisor at school, parent, or someone who has been an employer or employee can give you advice on an employment agreement. Your boss can’t give you independent advice.
If you weren’t given adequate opportunity to get legal advice, this could make some of your agreement unenforceable, like a trial period.
