An organisation or business that manages or controls a workplace has to make sure as far as is reasonably practicable that the workplace (including entrances and exits) doesn’t pose risks. For a shop in a shopping mall, this includes the owner and manager of the mall. People who make or design machinery and equipment, or who manage and control it, also owe a duty to make sure it’s safe.
If you’re an employee or self-employed, you have to make sure you’re safe at work as far as is reasonably practicable.
